Psalm 10:4The wicked in his proud countenance does notseekGod;God is in none of his thoughts.  (NKJV)

Yesterday, I wrote about David, in which…Acts 13:22…reveals God saying this about David…I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’

David records a couple of times in his writing from Psalms, prayers asking the Lord to reveal any hidden sins that may be hampering David’s fellowship with the Lord…  Most notable, is the following scripture, in… Psalm 139:23-24…  Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is anywickedway in me, And leadme in the wayeverlasting.  (NKJV)

David wanted the Lord to reveal these hidden sins, so that he could confess them, and be deemed righteous again in God’s sight…1 John 1:9…  If a Christian is “Walking in the Spirit” on a more or less continuous basis, their spiritual senses are fine tuned to be able to respond positively to most every urging from the Holy Spirit… This spiritual maturity comes from spending much time in the Bible, digesting the meat of the Word…  I wrote about this in a days writing titled…“From Milk to Meat”, which can be found by going to… www.Godsmanforever.wordpress.com and typing 7/17/2013 into the search window…

Hebrews 5:13-14 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their sensesexercised to discern both good and evil(NKJV)

The opening scripture is at the absolute opposite end of the spectrum, from the Spirit filled Christian…and would probably be representative of an atheist’s view…   God is in none of his thoughts, because atheists don’t believe that God exists…  For me, this is mind boggling !!  All anyone has to do is to take one look at the world and the universe around them, and God is everywhere !!  It does however, take faith…

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.  (NKJV)

I came across a site with much info about Creation, backed up with Bible verses…  For those atheists out there or skeptics about Creation…check out this link…  http://www.lookingtowardshome.com/bible-study/creation/

But between the atheist, and the Christian who is “Walking in the Spirit”…there is an extreme range of beliefs, religions, customs, traditions, and false teaching, where God is in the thoughts of a person…  The question is, are they talking about the One true God that created the heavens and the earth, as well as the Holy Bible ??  Or are they talking about the god of any other religion, besides Christianity ??     Any other god, besides God, through the shed blood of Jesus Christ…is not a god who can forgive sins…

So if you’re a Christian, how often is God in your thoughts ??  Is it 24/7, like the Spirit filled Christian, who is living day in and day our for the Lord ??  Typically, a Spirit filled Christian who has God as the most important Person in their lives, will wake up with prayer and Bible quiet time to start their day…Every day, if possible (and this will be a joy, not a chore)…  God will be thought of throughout the day…seeking His advice for all important decisions…  I must admit that I could use some help in this area myself…  And God will be thanked and praised through reverent prayer for the good as well as the bad, along with other concerns, before getting into bed at night…

If you consider yourself to be a Christian, is God in your thoughts and prayers, only when it is convenient, or when you are in desperate need ??  Are you someone who thinks of God predominately on Sundays, and you go to church every week because it is a requirement of your church doctrine,or you will be sinning ??   And maybe during the week, you thank God with a casual prayer before a meal (usually the same prayer using vain repetitions that Jesus warns us about, in…Matthew 6:7)…because it is what you have been taught through tradition by your parents, from a little child ??

Friends these are all signs of someone who believes they know God…  But knowing God, and having a personal relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ, as your personal Lord and Savior, are not the same thing…  The Apostle Paul pens scripture about God’s wrath on unrighteousness, in…Romans 1:18-32…  Here is the link for this whole piece of scripture…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=rom1:18-32&version=NKJV;KJV

Here is the key scripture about just knowing God, in…Romans 1:21-22because, although they knewGod, they did notglorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolishhearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, (NKJV)

Jesus tells us this, in… John 14:6Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. Noone comes to the Father except through Me.” (NKJV)   The way is through understanding and obedience to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ… (See link at the bottom for my most important day’s writing on God’s grace)  The truthis found in the Word of God, and it will set the sinner free from Satan’s chains of bondage to sin…John 8:32And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (NKJV)  And the “lifethat Jesus speaks about is eternal life in heaven with His Father…

Friends there is only One God, and one way to be forgiven of your sins… The Apostle Paul pens this, in… 1 Timothy 2:5For there isoneGod and oneMediator between God and men, theManChristJesus,  (NKJV)  God’s grace is freely given through saving faith alone in Jesus Christ…Ephesians 2:8-9…when the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is understood and obeyed…

Anyone doubting that this is the only way to heaven, should pay close attention to the following eye opening scripture, penned by the Apostle Paul, in…

2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 in flamingfire taking vengeance on those who donot know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus ChristThese shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, (NKJV)

Only God know the heart…  Each one of us must sit in judgment by Christ upon our death, for how we lived our lives…2 Corinthians 5:10  Those who have become a Christian in God’s eyes by obeying the gospel of Christ…will spend eternal life in heaven…  Those who only thought they knew God…shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord…

Heavenly Father, Your Word is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…Hebrews 4:12-13…  I pray Lord, that You would draw those that You don’t yet recognize as Your children, to Yourself…John 6:44… And that the truth from Your Word through obedience to the gospel of Your Son Jesus Christ, would set them free from Satan’s chains of bondage…John 8:32…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
