Isaiah 47:8-11
Sept 8“Complications”
“The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over us, but all who receive God’s wonderful, gracious gift of righteousness will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:17 NLT
More people seem to die of complications to an illness, rather than the illness itself. Pneumonia, staph infections, and heart or organ failures are often complications of other illnesses.
Financial problems often complicate our best laid plans. Unplanned for and unexpected doctor and hospital bills, car or home repairs, etc., seem to pop up the most when we can afford them the least.
We often complicate our lives by making bad choices in friends, spouses, and careers.
Complications caused by pride, anger, selfishness, envy, greed, or lust are the root cause of most relational conflicts.
Our sin nature and free will are what complicate and thwart God’s desire that all of us should receive everlasting life by receiving Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord.
Jesus Christ did not come into the World to complicate our lives. He came to overcome the complications of our sin so that we could live forever in His joy.
As long as we choose to refuse to receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, and surrender control of our lives to Him, we will never know the peace and joy of being in a right faith relationship with God.
Father, don’t let my walk be complicated by unconfessed and unrepented sin. In Jesus’ name, Amen…
P.S. (from bruce) Here is a link explaining how to become a Christian in God’s eyes, by receiving Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, through understanding and obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ…
