“God’s Special Favor”
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)
Our God is a good God. He continues to provide favor and sustain all with the necessities of life on this planet.
God placed His special favor on Jesus Christ, that He might accomplish that for which He came down to earth.. “There the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom beyond his years, and God placed his special favor upon him.” (Luke 2:40 NLT)
God offers His special favor to all who will receive it by faith in Jesus Christ.. We can’t earn it, buy it, or sell it.
God’s special favor saves us, sustains us, and transforms us into the likeness of Christ by the constant and on going renewing of our minds, as we confess and repent of our sins.
God’s special favor is the essential ingredient for the abundant life now and forever in and with HIM.
This special favor is manifest through temporal blessings of plenty or poverty, depending on whatever God deems best for our spiritual character development.
We grow in this special favor of God, as we grow in our knowledge and worship of Him through prayer, growing in His Word, and in fellowship with others who have received the special favor of God’s grace.
Father, help me to grow in the special favor of your grace through the power of the Holy Spirit living within me. In Jesus’ name, Amen
