1 Corinthians 10:13…  No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will notallow you to be temptedbeyond what you are able, butwith the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may beable to bear it.  (NKJV)

The Apostle James teaches us that no temptation is from God, in…James 1:13… Let noonesay when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for Godcannot be tempted by evil, nordoesHe Himself temptanyone.  (NKJV)

Every living soul on this earth, when they are old enough to understand what temptation is all about, will constantly be tempted by either Satan or their own flesh…  The Apostle James goes on with this, in…James 1:14-15… Buteach one istempted when he is drawnaway by hisowndesires and enticed.  ¹⁵ Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (NKJV)

Jesus Himself was tempted by Satan (Matthew 4:1-11)…but Jesus defeated Satan’s temptations all 3 times by quoting scripture from Deuteronomy, including…Deuteronomy 8:3b…  that He might make you know that man shall notlive by bread alone; but man lives by everywordthat proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.  (NKJV)

This Old Testament scripture, which was spoken by Jesus to Satan, is paramount for the Christian to live by (“by everywordthat proceeds from the mouth of the Lord”)…if they want to be able to remain strong against Satan…the powerful, deceptive, god of this world…2 Corinthians 4:4…  Satan wants nothing better than to blind even believers, who let their own flesh with its evil desires of greed, lust, and pride take back control from the Holy Spirit…  The Apostle John warns believers about this, in…1 John 2:15-16…

I wrote a few days ago (on 11/06/2013), about wayward Christians who have taken their eyes off of the Lord…and have allowed their flesh and/or Satan to bring them back into the world, as they live in sin and shame…  I professed my own loss of supernatural peace, and the fullness of joy I once had, for a number of years after I was graced by God with salvation…because I had taken back control from the Holy Spirit…  What a major mistake in my own life !!

With 20/20 hindsight vision, I warned those Christians who have turned from God, not to wait until they crash and burn, before they realize their own grave mistake…  God promises to renew their severed relationship, and to cleanse them of their unrighteousness…when sinning Christians confess, repent, and turn from their sins…1 John 1:9…

Without the full power of the Holy Spirit to help the Christian ward off Satan’s attacks…they will soon stumble and fall prey to Satan’s temptations and/or their own carnal flesh…  If wayward Christians could only experience the blessings and the power that God has reserved for His children who live in obedience to the Holy Spirit…they just might turn their lives back over to Him…

I urge all Christians who are not now living for Christ, to step out in faith…submit their lives once again to the Lord…and realize God’s promises of His richest blessings that He wants to shower upon His obedient children… 

God can open doors for His submissive children, which they will not open in their own strength…  God can provide more than we could ever expect living under our own control…  And God can fill us with His Son’s love which surpasses our mortal knowledge…  All of this is promised to the Christian who is living for Christ, by the Apostle Paul…as he prays for the Ephesians to submit to the power of the Holy Spirit, who can doexceedinglyabundantlyaboveall that we ask or think, in…

Ephesians 3:16-20…  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through HisSpirit in the inner man, ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹ toknow the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  ²⁰ Now to Him who is able to doexceedinglyabundantlyaboveall that we ask or think, according to thepower that works in us, (NKJV)

As I repeat what I wrote the other day…why would anyone believe that they are wiser than God (the Holy Spirit), living with-in all born again believers…just waiting for the humble child of God to submit their lives to Him ??

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your Word would wake-up Your redeemed children, who are missing out on all the promises and the opportunities that You would provide them…if they would only submit their lives to You…  I pray Lord, that hearts and lives would be filled to overflowing with the love of Christ…and that Your peace and Your fullness of joy would replace the doom and gloom of Your wayward children, who turn their lives back over to You…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
