Romans 2:7-9eternallife to those who by patientcontinuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and donotobey the truth, but obey unrighteousnessindignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on everysoul of man who doesevil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek;  (NKJV)
My last day of writing was titled…“Is God’s Impending Wrath Real ??” (2/10/2014)…  I would urge anyone who has doubts about whether God, heaven, or hell is real…to read this…  You will see biblically, God’s way of avoiding His eternal wrath of hell, where the unbelieving sinner will burn in the lake of fire and brimstone, forever…Revelation 21:8
But once we become a Christian in God’s eyes, even though the wrath of God’s eternal damnation has been avoided by becoming a redeemed child of God…the opening scripture reveals that everysoul…(including Christians if they live inunrighteousness)…will still be subject to indignation and wrath,  tribulation and anguish,”…  I see the writer of Hebrews calling this chastising and scourging, which God promises to those He loves, to correct them in hope of yielding the peaceablefruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it….  This scripture is taken from verse 11 of scripture detailing God’s discipline for Christians living with continuous, unconfessed sins, found in…Hebrews 12:5-11
I came across a short article written by Dr. Charles Stanley the other day on Facebook, which I am urged to write about todaybecause what Dr. Stanley reveals in this short article lines up pretty much with my own disobedient Christian walk, after God graced me with salvation…  You can read this one page article @    http://www.intouch.org/you/article-archive/content?topic=are_you_an_obedient_servant_article#.Uvd3sfsr0_Y
It was titled… “Are You an Obedient Servant ??”…  The essence of this article, has Dr. Stanley telling us that obedience to the Lord is not given to us by God…  Being obedient to the Lord is a choice we must make, and we will hopefully learn the need for obedience, after making enough mistakes in lifewhen we finally realize that God’s way is Always the best way…  Of course God wants all of His redeemed children, after He graces them with salvation…to immediately walk in obedience to God’s will and God’s ways…

Butto those who are self-seeking and donotobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, the apostle Paul pens that everyone of us who decides that our free will need to sin is more important than God’s revealed will for our lives, will suffer the consequences for our sin…  All of us who are  believers, who hear the urgings from the Holy Spirit, that God gives to all of His redeemed children for guidance and direction in our lives (John 14:26)…and then decides to do things our way instead…is not only sinning in God’s eyes…we are being rebellious children…

As I so often state in my personal testimony…it took me over 7 years after being graced with salvation by God, to finally understand that God will provide His richest blessings and rewards to His children who live as best they can in God’s revealed will…  Does this mean we won’t make mistakes  ??  Of course not !!  But the sooner we learn to be an “Obedient Servant” of the Lord’s…the sooner our lives will start to come into alignment with God’s plan for our lives…and the sooner we will become serious about being conformed into the image of Christ…Romans 8:29

I spent a day back on 2/07/2014 writing about the extraordinary benefits God’s redeemed children will be blessed with, when they choose to finally submit their lives to God  It was titled… “Chose sin or God’s Help”, which can be found @ www.Godsmanforever.com by typing 2/07/2014 into the search window…

If you look at the words “Obedient Servant”…and this idea of total submission to God rubs you the wrong way…you are headed for the indignation and wrath,  tribulation and anguish, that the apostle Paul warns us about in the opening scripture…  God’s way is always right, and our way will usually be wrong…Isaiah 55:8-9…  It’s just that simple !!

The thing is, that once you taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8-9), it becomes easier and easier to live for God, because as you draw closer to God, He will draw closer to you…James 4:7-8

With the Holy Spirit helping you make the best decisions for your life…keeping Christ’s two most important commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) of loving the Lord with all of your heart, all of your mind, and all of your soul…and loving all of those around you as yourself…is not a burden…  It becomes a way of life, and reveals who you are in Christ…

The apostle John late in his life penned this, in…1 John 5:2-4…  Bythis we know that welove the children of God, when weloveGod and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And Hiscommandments are notburdensome.  For whatever is born of Godovercomes the world. And this is the victorythat has overcome the worldour faith. (NKJV)

You can do things God’s way as His obedient servant…and not do things the hard way, wasting precious time and all of the help that God wants to give you…  But you must first get out of your own way and submit your life to God, as you let God do what only God can do…lead His children down a righteous, perfect path that will include the best for the lives of His redeemed children…

The apostle Paul pens this, in… Romans 8:28…  And we knowthatallthings work together for good to those who loveGod, to those who are the called according to Hispurpose.  (NKJV)

The wise Solomon, who wrote half of the Book of Proverbs, gives us the best advice for living in obedience to the Lord, when he penned this, in…  Proverbs 3:5-6…  Trust in the Lordwithall your heart, And leannoton your ownunderstanding; Inall your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths(NKJV)

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your living and powerful Word (Hebrews 4:12-13) would open the eyes of all of Your redeemed children, so that we can see that Your revealed will for our lives is far better than our own blurred, distorted wisdom of what we believe is best…  Help us Lord, to quickly learn to become obedience to the Holy Spirit…so that all that we say and do will bring honor and glory to Your name…  I pray for this desire to become an obedience servant, for all of Your redeemed children, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
