Ephesians 4:14-16that we should nolonger be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with everywind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speakingthetruthinlove, may growup in allthings into Him who is the headChrist16 from whom the wholebody, joined and knittogether by what everyjoint supplies, according to the effectiveworking by whicheverypart does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.  (NKJV)

Do you consider your church, to be the building you might have been going into for years now, on Saturday or Sunday…as the place where you worship ??  Or do you believe what Jesus Christ and the apostle Paul clearly reveal to us in the New Testament…that the church is the body of Christ (not the physical building), with Jesus Christ as the head of His universal church body of believers ??

If you believe your church is the building you attend every week…I pray out of my love and concern for everyone believing this definition of what church is, to humble themselves…and listen to one of the best audio sermons I have ever heard on explaining exactly what God, through His inerrant Word the Bible, reveals to us about what the church consists of, with His Son Jesus Christ as its head…

This audio sermon by Dr. Charles Stanley was just posted 3/03/2014…and can be found by going to
http://www.intouch.org/broadcast/today-on-radio , and looking for Dr. Stanley’s 20 minute sermon titled…“Christ: The Head of the Church”…

There are two other links I can direct you to, to first answer the question…“What is the Church ??”…found @
http://christianity.about.com/od/churchandcommunity/a/thechurch.htm

And the second link will answer the question…“How is the church the Body of Christ ??”…found @ http://www.gotquestions.org/body-of-Christ.html

Christianity is based upon the resurrected Jesus Christ, and the hope found in believers, after Jesus Christ conquered death and sin, by rising from the grave 3 days after His death and burial…  And Jesus Christ initiated His church with Jesus Himself as head of His universal body of believers…  The local church body today, which God will approve as a living body of Christ…will be filled with God’s redeemed children who have been graced with salvation, and filled with the Holy Spirit by God… (See note at the end for more on God’s saving grace)

The church doctrine of Christ’s universal church body will be based exclusively on the truth found in God’s Word, the Bible…  I spent a day writing what I titled… speakingthetruthinlove back on 2/22/2014, taking the title from the opening scripture… It goes into much detail about the importance of going to a local church body of believers, to help in maintaining a strong family at home…and it references how to find the right church, with the right church doctrine…  You can find this informative writing by going to www.Godsmanforever.com and typing 2/22/2014 into the search window…

The opening scripture speaks about people being tossed about with everywind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, which speaks of all the false doctrine that man has created to start churches that don’t preach the truth from God’s Word, ever since Christ started His church…

There are now over 41,000 Christian denominations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_denominations) The reason as to why there are so many differences in what should be the same love for the Lord and the unity of Christ’s church (like there was in the first century A.D.), are answered by the www.gotquestions.org site @ the following link…   http://www.gotquestions.org/denominations-Christian.html

Friends, any Christian church that does not preach Jesus Christ as the head of its body of believers, is not a body of Christ that is functioning by what God clearly outlines for us in His inerrant Word, the Bible…  A God ordained church body of believers  will preach the Gospel of Christ on a regular basis; and is where you as an individual should be looking to grow and mature in your spiritual walk with the Lord…  There will be a common bond between church members because of the unity of the Spirit, which should produce growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love, as we see in the opening scripture…Ephesians 4:3-6

Heavenly Father, I pray that You urge anyone reading these words who doesn’t know Your Son Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, to spend the time listening to Your servant Dr. Charles Stanley explain about “Christ: The Head of the Church”…  I pray Father, that those in need of receiving Your saving grace would be drawn in by You (John 6:44), and that their hearts of stone would be filled with the love of Christ…  I pray for all of us Lord, that we could taste and see that Your way is the only way to receive the peace You promise which surpasses all understanding…Philippians 4:6-7…   I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills

P.S. Here is a link for this most important days writing, about how God’s grace is received to become a Christian in God’s eyes; through understanding and obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, after first being drawn in by God…John 6:44…   https://godsmanforever.wordpress.com/2013/07/11/gods-group-thoughts-for-7112013-the-truth-about-sin/
