                             “Without A Trace”
 
   “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,”
1 Timothy 4:1  (NKJV)
 
    Back door losses continue to plague most mainline churches at an alarming rate.  Unfortunately many members are allowed to fade away without a clue.
 
    The pastor charged with shepherding a flock is going to have to give an account for them and should make every effort to at least find out why people leave and where they go.
 
    The back door losses decline in churches that actively assimilate new members and get them plugged into a small group or other ministries.The communion of saints becomes real to a small community group of believers who fellowship in the Word.
 
    The alarming vanishing rate among young people does not bode well for the future of Christ’s church as we know it.  Even many parents who earnestly seek to teach a child the way they should walk are seeing their children disappear from their faith as soon as they are out on their own.
 
    That the world, the flesh and the devil is winning so many battles for the souls of men, women, and children cannot be denied. 
 
    Whether the apostasy that is taking place around the world is a sign of the end of time rapidly approaching, or just a bump in the road in the history of civilization, it is a real and present danger.
 
    Thanks be to God that He is in control and not surprised by any of this, and that He has promised that the powers of hell shall never prevail against His church.
 
              In the meantime we should lock the back door of our church by praying for, encouraging and building up all in our body of believers, and do and be whatever else we can to keep our children in the faith.
 

   Father let me never be a stumbling block causing anyone to leave your church or forfeit Your wonderful gift of the abundant life.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
