“Armed and Dangerous”
“The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light.” Romans 13:12 AMP
The pilgrims who settled this country could never be considered armed and dangerous in the conventional sense, but they came armed and dangerous with faith and the power of God’s Word.
The spiritual warfare being waged by the forces of evil against Christ and His Church is unrelenting and has been going on for centuries with no end in sight.
It started with casting doubt about what God really said and meant, and continues as forces within and without Christ’s church seeking to discredit God’s truth, character, power, and purposes.
God’s truth is being replaced by relative truth in about every area of life. He is blamed for all calamities and the consequences of sins. He is being mocked as never before.
We can be sure that all of this comes as no surprise to God. He knew from the beginning that giving us free will would lead to free style sinning and demeaning His Holy Name.
How gracious and kind of God to give each of us our own personal arsenal to stand firm and be victorious on the battlefield of our soul. We are all armed and dangerous when we put on the full armor of God.
When we are armed with the helmet of salvation, sandals of peace, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith and sword of the Spirit we can stand firm. Even the devil and forces of evil will flee when we wear the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-20)

The full armor of God is able to turn that roaring lion into a meowing pussy cat. We dare not leave home without it.
Father, help me to keep my guard up and my armor on until I am safely at home in heaven with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
