1 Corinthians 12:13…  And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.  (NKJV)

On my last day of writing, I wrote for people who do not have the love of Christ living with-in them (the Holy Spirit…1 Corinthians 6:19), even though they might believe they are a Christian…  There are many reasons  a person falsely uses Christ’s name, as they consider themselves to be a Christian…without being given the right by God, to become one of His redeemed children…  I posted the following scripture, confirming this right for a true Christian to use Christ’s name, only after God wills the new believer to be born from above…

John 1:12-13…  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: ¹³ who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  (NKJV)

For all Christians who have been graced by God with salvation…there will hopefully be no doubt that you are indeed a child of God, because of this scripture penned by the apostle Paul, in…  Romans 8:15-16… For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”¹⁶ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (NKJV)

Today I write about the fullness of Christ in the believer, where the Holy Spirit has total control of the Spirit filled Christian’s life (Ephesians 5:18-20)…and how our Christian walk with the Lord can deteriorate, as our own flesh and/or the worlds temptations to sin (spurred on by Satan and our own evil carnal desires), can take over our free will, that God has given to all people…

I listened to a video the other day, done by Dr. R.C. Sproul, titled…”What Is Free Will”…that gives a good explanation of how our free will is either influenced by evil or by the Holy Spirit…if indeed we have been graced with salvation…  When the Christian has the choice of whether to sin, or to be strong in Christ…which ever spirit/Spirit has the most control of our life at that moment in time, will usually win out…  To find this video explaining what free will is all about, go to the following link…and scroll down to the 3rd of 6 videos, done by Dr. R.C. The opening scripture verse was at the end of chapter 13, in the Book of 1 Corinthians, penned by the apostle Paul…  Here is the link for this whole short chapter…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1cor13&version=NKJV;KJV    The apostle Paul makes it clear in…1 Corinthians 13:2…that without this “love” we see in the opening scripture…we are NOTHING…   I believe this love is the same “agape” love that the apostle Paul pens, in…Ephesians…where he describes “the love of Christ which passes knowledge”…

Ephesians 3:16-19… that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— ¹⁹ to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (NKJV)

Jesus Christ was able to love even those that despised Him…  He has called us as His children, to be able to love even our enemies, in… Matthew 5:43-44… “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ ⁴⁴ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,”(NKJV)

My friends, do you have the ability to love even those that are screaming in your face with rage ??  I know I didn’t, until I finally submitted my life to God (James 4:7-8)…and allowed the Holy Spirit to control everything I say and do…  It is possible…as much as depends upon ourselves (Romans 12:18), to live peaceably with all men…  But this will only be possible when we live in obedience, under the full power and control of the Holy Spirit…

When we are Walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), as a Christian living as a follower (disciple) of Jesus Christ…we will be abiding in His Word (John 8:31-32)…  Here is an excellent video by Pastor John Piper, that is titled…”If You Abide in My word, You Are Truly My Disciples”…found @ http://www.desiringgod.org/sermons/if-you-abide-in-my-word-you-are-truly-my-disciples

I spent a day some time ago…giving you my personal recommendation on how to be able to keep Satan at bay (Ephesians 6:10-20), and on how to live a life as a follower of Jesus Christ, to the best of my ability…James 4:7-8…  It was titled…”God’s Duo”, and can be found by typing 2/25/2013 into the search window @ www.Godsmanforever.com

The Christian who wants to live as a true follower of Jesus Christ, will live a life of constant repentance with godly sorrow (1 John 1:9), and believe in the gospel (Mark 1:14-15)…as they do their best to live a “Christ Centered” life…  Only they, will “the love of Christ which passes knowledge” be evident as a light with-in us, that will “so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (from…Matthew 5:16)…

Heavenly Father, help all of Your redeemed children to understand the benefits of living a godly, “Christ centered” life, that will be pleasing to You…and that will truly set Your children free because of Your grace that will abound in their lives…  I pray for this fullness of Christ in all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…
