                      “The Power of Purpose”

“[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy” Colossians 1:11 AMP

 Strength and power and the ability to use it comes from God. The pooling of power for a common goal is also a gift God has given us.

 Whether on the little league or big league sports field, the battlefield of war, or life when people unite for a common purpose, good things happen.

 I have been blessed to be part of the pooling power that has funded many church projects and other purposes.  In the secular world, I was blessed to experience the pleasure of being part of many exciting endeavors that became successful through pooling the power of purpose.

 When teams play together as a team, churches pray together as a body, and people work together towards a common goal the accomplishments of the whole are generally much greater than could be realized by any individual effort.

 When any team or organization loses unity of purpose, the power is often diffused into disagreements, divisions, and lose lose situations for everyone involved.  Teams lose, businesses go broke, and churches split.

 The power of purpose for doing life is the key to living a God pleasing life.  We must willfully , deliberately, and intentionally commit to obeying God and submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

   Father give me Your power of purpose in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
