“Armor All for the Soul”

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)

Armor All is one of the most successful products ever offered to protect and beautify car dashboards and interior trim. God has an “armor for all” that will beautify and protect our souls from the temptations of the world, our flesh, and the devil.

God knows that in our own strength we are no match for the power of our flesh and the devil to tempt us beyond what we are able to withstand.

No matter how full of the Holy Spirit we are, the truth is that we are still cracked pots who leak a lot and need to always wear the full armor of God to protect us from the continual attacks that keep coming.

God assures us that there are no temptations given that are not common to man, and that with the temptation He will provide the means
to escape, withstand, or defeat them.

When we are armed with the righteousness of Christ, the peace of the Gospel, faith, the joy of our salvation, and the power of God’s Word we will be able to stand firm not in our strength, but in the supernatural strength and power of the Holy Spirit living within us.

This armor comes in a refillable container in our soul, housed in our earthly bodies. Our abundant life depends on keeping it in good repair by frequent visits to the prayer throne, and house of worship.

How empowering it is to be able to tell temptation to “take a hike” and see it flee when we stand fully armed.

Father, thank You for giving me a powerful means of defense when temptations come knocking at the door of my heart… In Jesus’ name, Amen
