Excellent post !! I too, in a slow process after I was saved, somehow took back control from the Holy Spirit… My peace and my joy were gone… I believe it was after reading “Grieving the Holy Spirit” by C.H.Spurgeon that I got down on my knees just over 7 years after I was saved…and prayed for Him to take back control… The power of the Holy Spirit eludes many Christians, and at 66 I am doing all I can to help educate every Christian (especially the younger generation) so that they don’t waste 60 years of their lives like I did…
