“What Can I Offer the LORD ?”

“To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Mark 12:33  (NIV)

Jesus Christ not only died on the cross as the complete perfect sacrifice offering for our sins, He died to give us a new life free to offer God our sacrifices of praise.

When we think of the great thing God has done for us in Christ, how can we help but rejoice? And when we rejoice, we make God’s joy so complete that He gives us that all surpassing peace and joy even in the worst of circumstances.

We no longer have to offer animals, we get to offer ourselves as living sacrifices in appreciation for what Christ has done.

We offer living sacrifices of praise every time we worship either privately or as a church. When we offer our time, our talents, or our treasures to reflect God’s goodness to us, we are going to experience more of the abundant life He came to give us.

As we begin each day asking Lord to let us be a conduit of His love to others, we will find our joy being multiplied as we bless others with the love we have been given.

Scripture makes it very clear that God doesn’t care about the burnt offerings of animals. What He really wants is our heart.

Father, help me to offer my life as a living sacrifice to the praise of Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen
