“Are You Walking in the Spirit ??”
Written by bruce r. mills @ www.Godsmanforever.com
Ephesians 3:16-19… that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (NKJV)
I find this scripture penned by the Apostle Paul, to be some of the most beautiful, but also so very important to the Christian, in explaining how we as Christians can and should be walking in the Spirit… Paul pens this, in…
Galatians 5:16… I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (NKJV)
Brethren, when we get out of our own way, and humble ourselves to allow the Holy Spirit to take charge of all that we say and do, (to be filled with the Spirit – Ephesians 5:18-20), God will empower us to be able to live our life in a way that will be pleasing to God…
The blessings that will come from living for the Lord as a follower of Christ, have to be experienced to be believed… We see the beauty of a Spirit filled life in the opening scripture, where experiencing the love of Christ filling us, goes beyond our mortal knowledge…
The Apostle Paul speaks of a supernatural peace we as Spirit filled Christians will experience, that also goes beyond our mortal understanding, in…
Philippians 4:6-7… Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
Unconfessed sin, will keep the Christian from being totally empowered by the Holy Spirit, to be able to walk in the Spirit… Our sins must be confessed…repented of…and turned from, to be cleansed of our unrighteous living…
1 John 1:9… If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (NKJV)
So what are you waiting for fellow Christians ?? Get down on your knees and pray to the Lord, confessing and turning from any and all sins… Allow the Holy Spirit to empower your life, filling you with power to fight Satan (James 4:7-8), and your own carnal flesh… When you are walking in the Spirit, you too will experience God’s richest blessings beyond belief !!
Blessings in Christ, bruce
