                                              “The Ultimate Power Pack”

““For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are”   Hebrews 4:12  (NLT)

     Power packs have revolutionized telephones, tools, and hundreds of other items.  They are able to deliver the power to transmit, drill, saw, listen and compute with great power.

God has given us His grace as our ultimate power pack.  He provides power for living forever and supplies the power and strength for our every need through His Word. 

Like any other power pack, we need our spiritual batteries recharged daily through His Word in order to meet the daily power demands of living in a sin sick, stress filled world.

When we let our batteries run low we become weak and defenseless against the attacks of the wounded roaring lion seeking to devour us. 

Doing life God’s way requires more energy than we can ever muster on our own.  Jesus knew this would be a big problem so He sent the Holy Spirit to bring the power from on high to cover our weaknesses.

Jesus Christ was the living Word who came down from heaven to be the way, the truth, and the life.     He still lives as the living Word in the heart of all believers who find the strength, power, and nourishment they need through abiding in Jesus through His Word. 

Although the war has been won by Jesus’ death on the cross, the spiritual battle continues to rage on as the forces of evil continue to deceive, discourage, and try to destroy us. 

God’s Word is the power pack that not only saved us, but will sustain us and make us more like Him day by day, year by year as we abide in Jesus.

Father, help me to keep my power pack fully charged by daily confession, repentance, and feeding on your Word.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
