“and his name shall be called…The Prince Of Peace”

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”   (Luke 2:10-11)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.   (Isaiah 9:6)

Since this time of year has been set aside by the world to remember the birth of Jesus, I thought it would be good for us to take some time to consider Jesus, His person and His workings on our behalf.  For the next few brief devotions…
