Luke 11:27-28… And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!” 28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” (NKJV)

This scripture alludes to the fact that Mary, should be blessed for being Jesus’ mother… But Jesus replies that her status as His physical mother deserved no greater recognition than anyone else who is saved by God’s grace… [See (1)]

We see this scripture spoke by Mary, in…Luke 1:46-48… And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. (NKJV)

Mary referred to God as her Savior… This indicates that she knew God as her personal Savior…meaning that she knew she was a sinner in need of salvation, before receiving God’s saving grace… There is nothing anywhere in the Bible that indicates that Mary was “Immaculate” (free from the original sin, that we are all born with… (2)

My friends, the Bible is clear that there was only one sinless person to ever walk the face of this earth…and that was the Lord Jesus Christ… And Christ is the only One that can mediate between God and man… (4) The Bible teaches us this, in…1 Timothy 2:5… For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, (NKJV) The idea that Mary can be a person’s mediator to speak to God for them, is found nowhere in the Bible… (2) & (3)

Jesus also made it perfectly clear in the Bible (God’s inerrant Word), that the only way to be forgiven of one’s sins, and acceptance into heaven, was through Him, as penned in…

John 14:6… Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (NKJV)

The “way” is through understanding and obedience to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ… (1) The “truth” is found in the Word of God, and it will set the sinner free from Satan’s chains of bondage to sin…John 8:32… “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (NKJV) And the “life” that Jesus speaks about, is eternal life in heaven with His Father…

Heavenly Father, I pray that Your living and powerful Word (Hebrews 4:12-13) will open the eyes of those that have no idea what Your infallible Word teaches us… I pray Father, that You will draw those in need of Your saving grace to Yourself (John 6:44)…and that hearts, minds, and souls will be saved by Your grace forever… I pray for this fullness of Christ, and the freedom Your grace will provide to all of Your redeemed children, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ, bruce r mills

    Bruce,

You certainly bit off a lot to chew in this one. Very well done. I appreciate the correction of different false teachings that exist concerning Mary. It is so sad that the false teachings you have covered are accepted as truth by so many. May the Lord bless this post and use it to show others the Biblical truths about Mary and her role in the life of Christ, our Savior.

    Lord bless you.
