“We NEED God’s help !!”

I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit,

for without me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

Have you ever worked really hard attempting to accomplish something worthwhile, and after much toil and little result, realized you couldn’t do it without help? It has happened to me, more times than I would like to admit. Most of those times I was working in my own strength, and not abiding in the strength of God.

This morning as I write this, the USA is in trouble. Our big trouble is in the spiritual realm. We have left our first love. We have forgotten the liberties and rights our God has given to us. And as we have forgotten and forsaken those rights, we have placed ourselves in bondage to those who desire to destroy not only our way of life, but the very freedoms God has given to us and the happiness the pursuit of those freedoms bring us. You see, government didn’t give those freedoms to us, God did!

I want to live long enough to see America return to God. And I don’t wish to tell my children, my grandchildren, my brothers and sisters, my friends, that I stood by watching and did nothing. But I need help. My help doesn’t come from any mountain or any false god. My help comes from the Lord. For you see my friends, when Jesus told us “without Me you can do nothing”, He fully told us the truth and meant exactly what He said. God, please help us. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
