“Jesus’ grieving heart”
And when He had looked round about on them, with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He saith unto the man, “Stretch forth thine hand.” And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Mark 3:5
Several times in the Word of God, we are given a glimpse of the anger that Jesus felt. He was angry at the hardness of people’s hearts. He is angry with the wicked every day. He is grieved when people have no real love or compassion for others. It is sad that at times when Jesus became angry, He was actually at places of so-called “worship” when the anger occurred.
We can’t rightfully worship and honor God with evil hard hearts of unbelief. And we can’t honor and serve Him without real and true love for Him, and for those around us.
This morning I am thanking and praising God for my true brothers and sisters in Christ. And I am asking Him to help me have true love and compassion for all people, and to help me avoid the righteous indignation of God called anger, against those who lack real love and compassion for others.
