This Sunday at Church: Pray for new believers who recently got saved

For this Sunday here’s what you can do: Pray for new believers who recently got saved.

In the past I wrote “This Sunday at Church: Pray for unsaved recent visitors to be saved” and a few weeks ago also to “Pray for any long time church goer not yet a Christian would be saved.”

It turns out that there was a Sunday this summer when I was preaching that someone got saved.

If you know me I’m always worried when someone says they have come to Christ or got saved; I fear making false converts.

I think the guys that know this individual has assured me they think the salvation is genuine; they told me it was a dramatic conversion; the guy went from being guarded, not involved to being open and transparent and willing to take counsel…and counsel concerning hard stuff.

But I also sense Satan on the attack upon this young Christian’s life.

It led me to pray for him, but it also got me thinking about maybe all of us at our local church should pray for other believers like this young new believer!
