But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. v14: For the body is not one member but many.
1st Corinthians 12: 7, 14
The best definition I know of the Church is a BODY of baptized believers, set apart by God to fulfill the Great Commission. And for that to work the way that God intends for it to work, every member of the body of Christ has been given a spiritual gift. That gift is to be used by the Christian for the benefit of the entire body, and for the good of all mankind. It takes all the gifts that God has bestowed on believers to allow the body the function in a productive way.
This morning I am thanking God for gifted Christians. All of us are gifted, you know. God has ensured that by His Word, and God’s Word is always sure and true. I pray you are using your gift or gifts for the benefit of the entire body of Christ. If you are, God is using you TODAY to help others, even if you may not know it!
