1 Peter 1:6-7In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,  (NKJV)

Having gone through my own trials of life…still praising and glorifying God through it all…I can personally attest to the truth that the Apostle Peter is writing about in this opening scripture…

God tests His children with life’s trials all the time…   And the amount of faith that each of God’s children possesses, will become obvious to those that are truly a Christian in God’s eyes…  But the people that still posses a mind that doesn’t comprehend this idea of being able to greatly rejoice, even through life’s trials…is a life that is not walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), as a Christian that is being totally controlled by the Holy Spirit…Ephesians 5:18-20

It is only by the full power of the Holy Spirit, that the Christian will find joy through trials (James 1:2-8)…along with an absolute peace that goes beyond our mortal understanding (Philippians 4:6-7), that only God can provide…  There will be absolutely no doubt, that a Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit…because the Holy Spirit will tell our spirit, that we are indeed a child of God…

Romans 8:15-16For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The SpiritHimself bears witness with ourspirit that we are children of God,  (NKJV)

Anyone living in fear, or doubt, or anxiety at any time in their lives…has to be under the influence of Satan…who uses fear and anxiety to try and either plant doubt in the mind of a person, that God is absolutely real…or if they are indeed a Christian, that there is no way that they should be a able to find joy through life’s trials…

It is at this point in my writing, that I would normally spend a little time trying to enlighten you, my friends…about the “Whole Armor of God”, that the Apostle Paul writes about in…Ephesians 6:10-20…   Here is the link to read about this 6 piece set of spiritual armor, which if put on in its entirety…will protect the Christian from Satan’s fiery darts…Ephesians 6:11…  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=eph6:10-20&version=NKJV

It just so happens, that Dr. Charles Stanley has spent the last 2 days, in a 2 part audio sermon about God’s spiritual armor…that he has titled…“Dressed For the Battle – Part 1 and Part 2”…  Here is the link for Dr. Stanley’s 20 minute audio sermon archive that I hope each of you would bookmark…and which I pray each of you would take the time to listen to… http://www.intouch.org/broadcast/audio-archives

Any “born again” Christian, should be able to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16), in sweet fellowship with the Lord…if they have confessed and repented of any sins, through effective, fervent pray to their Father in heaven…James 5:16…  I just wrote yesterday, about which prayers God will hear, and respond positively to…and which prayers will either be ignored by God for various reasons, or rejected by God because they are not in His will for our lives…  You can read previous writing by going to   www.Godsmanforever.wordpress.com

I have found, in my own life…that to be able to walk in the Spirit on a more or less continuous basis…it takes a combination of both the total protection from Satan, that wearing “The Whole Armor of God” will provide…along with the Christian’s commitment to doing their absolute best to live in a continuous state of being controlled by the Holy Spirit…

This means that putting Christ first with ALL of one’s heart, mind, soul, and strength is a must…Mark 12:30…  Any sins that are committed should be immediately confessed and turned from with reverent prayer…similar to what the Apostle John has penned for us, in…1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and tocleanseus from all unrighteousness.  (NKJV)

Once the Christian has experienced the sweet fellowship that living for the Lord on a consistent basis will provide…they would (in my humble opinion), never want to loose God’s richest blessings of the supernatural love of Christ which passes our mortal knowledge…Ephesians 3:19-20the fullness of joy they will only find by walking in the Spirit… John 15:11…&…Jude 1:24…and a God given supernatural peace, that goes beyond our mortal understanding…Philippians 4:6-7…that only living for the Lord as an obedient child of God will provide…

Heavenly Father, I pray that the eyes of those in need of aligning themselves, so as to live in a continuous state of sweet fellowship with You…will investigate what Your whole set of spiritual armor is all about…  I pray Lord, that all of us would seek the reward of Your richest blessings, that You promise to those who diligently seek You…Hebrews 11:6…  I pray for this fullness of Christ to enrich all of our lives, in Jesus’ most precious name and for His sake…Amen…

Blessings in Christ,  bruce r mills
